Deliveries:
We aim for perfection and want you to be happy every time that you shop with us. Due to the delicate nature of some of our creations, we do take care in making and packaging your order so that they arrive safely and in good order.
We currently only deliver our items within the United Kingdom.
Charges:
Our charges ar currently set at £ 8.00 for post and packaging.
All orders will be dispatched using either traced through Royal Mail, or a specialist parcel logistics company & can be delivered to anyone you wish (in UK mainland). If you wish to send the order to anyone else other than the address you supplied in your transaction, please e-mail us at info@thepastryking.co.uk making reference to your transaction number and details of where you would like the order to be sent instead.
Where the carrier is unable to find someone to accept the delivery they will leave a card and wait for the recipient to contact them, please make sure addresses & postcodes are correct.
Orders placed over the weekend will not be despatched until the Tuesday. We do aim to process your order and have it dispatched within 2 days of delivery. No items for delivery can be guarenteed for weekend delivery.
Damaged Items:
We make and package your order by hand, and go to great lengths to make sure that it gets to you in a pristine condition. If something occurs in transit, and the items are damaged, we will collect it and replace it. Claims for breakages or other damage must be made to ‘The pastry king’ in writing, email or telephone call within 48 hours of receipt of goods. Please see ‘returning an Item’ (below) for further details on how this works.
Check your Order:
While we take every measure possible to check orders it is the responsibility of the customer to make sure the details on the order form are accurate. While we will do everything we can to rectify the situation when an error is made, the responsibility lies with the customer to check the details.
We will endeavour to respond within 1 working day.
If you don't receive a reply within that time, contact 01565 818228 as there may have been a problem with the e-mail address given.
Cancelling an order:
Under the Distance Selling Directive, you may also cancel your order within seven working days of delivery. However, this doesn’t apply to food and beverages or any item made specifically for you. To cancel your order and receive a refund, you must confirm this in writing and return the item within two weeks of receipt and in its original packaging to:

When you send the item back, please package it securely. Also, please ensure you post it with enough time for us to receive it within seven working days of the date it was delivered to you.
The maximum refund we offer is the value of the cake and delivery. Further compensation is not available.
Returning an Item:
To arrange a collection, please contact us giving the reasons for the return. Any damaged goods would be collected usually by courier at our expense. If you are not entirely happy with the product, please tell us why and send it back to us in it’s original packaging. for our address details please see ’Contact us’ We want you to be happy with your purchase & will endeavour to replace any products you are not happy with.
Cookery Courses & Gift Vouchers
We hold our cookery courses at the fantastic premises of The Cheshire Cookery School, all our links to these features are to their website, and we take no responsability for their content.
Cancellations of courses by The Pastry King
In the unlikely event of cancellation of a course by ourselves, we undertake to offer a suitable transfer to an alternative date or course. We cannot be held liable for any third-party costs, such as travel bookings or accommodation with hotels other than our own.
Health & Safety:
All participants should wear shoes with flat, non-slip soles and covered toes, preferably leather. We cannot admit you to the cookery school without proper footwear. We recommend wearing sensible clothing ie not your best outfit - we are not liable for any damage that occurs to clothing. Long hair must be tied back in the kitchen. All course participants will receive a short briefing on health and safety before commencing the course as well as a printed handout to take with them.
